Cleantech Startups Go Circular

September 21, 2021

Thanks to the RICE network and Circular Economy Victoria, up to 10 more businesses from the Barwon South West will be subsidised to join Runway’s next Circular Economy Business Growth program, starting in October.

RICE has been funded by Cleantech Innovations Geelong, supported by Geelong Manufacturing Council with partners City of Greater Geelong and the Victorian Government, to subsidise the program.

The circular economy is about reducing the use and disposal of resources and preventing pollution, by rethinking how we design, make, and use things within the planet’s limits. RICE is focused on catalysing the transition to circularity to reduce pressure on the environment, boost economic growth and create jobs.

The program is implemented in three key stages that build on each other to reduce risk and steadily accelerate businesses towards their Circular Economy goals: Get READY, Get SET, GROW!

The grant has already allowed RICE to subsidise up to 20 local businesses to participate in the first two rounds of the program.

Applications are now open (closing September 30) for the next Get READY program sessions commencing 11 October.
