Golden Farms is a major processor of chicken and chicken products in Victoria and MC Herd is known throughout Victoria for its fine quality meat products.
Seafood processing continues to grow to match demand for a wide-range of products, including scallops, abalone, mussels, squid and manufactured seafood products. The region is also home to a number of aquaculture pursuits including mussels, sea urchins and abalone, which are harvested for value-added products. This activity is complemented by a growing scientific, research and training infrastructure.
