Geelong manufacturers finalists in Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame

June 21, 2023

Geelong Manufacturing Council members, Farm Foods Australia and Think Fencing, have been named as finalists in the 2023 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

Farm Foods Australia is a Geelong based, 100% Australian family-owned food manufacturing business. From its humble origins in a Birregurra shopfront in 2003, Farm Foods has grown to become one of Australia’s leading meat and plant-based manufacturers and co-packers. The company manufactures products under the brands Green Acres, Simply Better Foods, NextGen2, Organic and Eat St and supplies the likes of Coles, Woolworths, Metcash, IGA, Ritchies and Aldi, along with a well established and growing export market.

Bellarine Peninsula based Think Fencing has gained worldwide recognition for its composite fencing materials, which are used in a variety of applications such as Thoroughbred Race tracks, AFL sporting grounds, and Picket Fencing. Recognizing the need to improve the recycling of PVC scrap, owner and founder Jack Fitzgerald developed innovative technology that allows for the conversion of PVC scrap into high-quality products, which would otherwise have been destined to landfill.

Winners will be announced at the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 10 August, at Palladium at Crown. The Gala Dinner provides businesses and individuals working across manufacturing with a unique opportunity to network and connect with industry leaders and celebrate all that is made in Victoria.

Geelong Manufacturing Council is a proud sponsor of the 2023 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame. We look forward to acknowledging Victoria’s exceptional regional manufacturers in particular, presenting the award for Manufacturer of the Year – Regional Business.
