CSIRO logoAs part of our 2020 Strategy, CSIRO is developing an Industry Roadmap for Advanced Manufacturing in Australia which aims to define long-term and disruptive opportunities for the sector, identify where Australia has an opportunity to position itself as a global leader, and identify the science and technology developments needed to underpin those opportunities. Input from sector leaders is crucial for the roadmap to reflect industry perspectives and priorities, and we invite you to be part of that process.

I would like to invite you to participate in CSIRO’s industry consultation to inform our Advanced Manufacturing Industry Roadmap project. The workshops will bring industry leaders together from across Australian advanced manufacturing to discuss:

  • Perspectives on identified major opportunity themes over the next 20 years for Australian manufacturing and how they materialise within sub-sectors;
  • Requirements for industry from the research community to successfully realise these opportunities; and
  • The barriers that will impede the success of the industry in Australia.

All participating businesses will be acknowledged as contributors within the report. If you believe that an alternative contact in your organisation would be more appropriate for participating in one of the workshops, please forward this invitation on. If you are receiving this as an industry body, we welcome the distribution of this invitation to your members.

You can RSVP by clicking the ‘Register Here” button above before 2 August 2016. 1 minute survey To assist with discussions on the day, please complete the survey below on Australia’s comparative advantages and disadvantages.
