GMC member gforce plays a pivotal role in strengthening the region’s manufacturing and maintenance talent pipeline through its apprenticeship programs and recruitment services supporting both local industry and the broader community.
Each week, gforce employs more than 400 people across apprenticeships, traineeships and labour hire roles. Since 1983, the organisation has supported thousands of individuals through Australian Apprenticeships, demonstrating both its scale and long-standing commitment to workforce development.
Manufacturing aligned apprenticeships across traditional trades remain a strong focus. Many apprentices progress into skilled roles across Geelong’s advanced manufacturing sector and supply chain, contributing to regional capability and the city’s long term economic sustainability.
As a for-purpose organisation and certified Social Traders social enterprise, gforce works closely with local employers to create inclusive employment pathways. These partnerships help businesses meet social procurement objectives while improving equitable access to jobs, particularly for people facing barriers to employment.
