Geelong’s waterfront has welcomed an Australian first, with BeBot making its national debut right here at Eastern Beach.
Introduced through a partnership between GMC member Scaada Environmental & Sustainability and the City of Greater Geelong, the fully electric beach-cleaning robot removes litter, cigarette butts, plastics and other debris from the sand while minimising disturbance to our coastal environment.
BeBot is already helping communities around the world keep their coastlines cleaner. Its arrival in Geelong shows what can be achieved when local organisations embrace practical technology to care for the places our community values.
