GMC member Sycle is expanding its circular-economy operations, transforming construction, demolition and industrial waste into recycled materials and alternative fuels. Its integrated services span collection, processing, repurposing and responsible disposal, supporting construction, commercial and industrial customers across Victoria. Since acquiring Ascot Bin Hire in Sunshine North in early 2025, Sycle has grown the operation from 12 to 35 trucks, 50 to 84 employees and 800 to 2,000 bins. A $14 million investment is strengthening recovery of timber, paper, rubble and plaster, while alternative-fuel development at its Sunshine site converts combustible materials into substitutes for coal used in cement manufacturing. Sycle’s Avalon, Fyansford and Sunshine facilities sort and recover valuable materials, with Avalon remanufacturing gypsum, garden mulch, concrete, asphalt and rubble into products for new infrastructure, while reducing landfill dependence and carbon emissions across its growing statewide network.
