GMC member Hanlon Industries has won the Corporate Excellence and Enterprise Award at the Committee for Geelong and Geelong Advertiser Future Geelong Leadership Awards.
The award recognises Hanlon’s strong commercial performance and sustained commitment to its people and the communities in which it operates.
Founded as a local fabricator, Hanlon has developed into a second-generation, family-owned manufacturing and construction business with operations in Corio, New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand. Throughout that growth, the company has continued to create employment pathways, develop skills and invest in regional communities.
Building the manufacturing workforce
Hanlon supports the future of manufacturing through structured apprenticeship programs, its annual Apprentice Welding Competition and targeted pathways for adults, Indigenous Australians and women. These initiatives are helping to expand participation in the sector while building the skilled workforce needed for future growth.
Contributing to the community
Beyond its workshops and project sites, Hanlon contributes through partnerships with Give Where You Live Foundation, Barwon Health Foundation, genU, Headstart and gforce employment + recruitment. This work reflects an approach to industry leadership grounded not only in business growth, but also in strengthening the region and helping others succeed.
GMC is proud to have Hanlon as a member and congratulates the entire team on this outstanding achievement.
