Thanks to the Geelong Advertiser for featuring GMC’s school programs Geelong Future Leaders of Industry (GFLOI) and Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing (GLAM) featured in this week’s Geelong Advertiser.
Two of our 2025 graduates, year 9 students, Evan Wuite and Magdalene Porra wrote about their GFLOI and GLAM experiences including sharing program highlights such as factory tours, hands-on activities and learning about the latest technology.
This year, 50 students from 15 Geelong region schools participated in the programs, opening their eyes to a range of careers available through manufacturing via our Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing (GLAM), Geelong Future Leaders of Industry (GFLOI) and World of Work (WoW) Clean Economy programs.
GMC’s school programs are supported by The Gordon, Skilling the Bay and the Victorian Government and are designed for students in years 9 – 11 across Greater Geelong and surrounding areas.
GMC is currently taking applications from students in the Geelong-region who will be in years 9-11 in 2026. If you’d like to find out more, please contact GMC.
