Geelong’s Dr James Mullins has been recognised for his significant service to science and to the community in the King’s Birthday Honours, with an appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
Dr Mullins is a founder and Chief Technology Officer of tech manufacturing company and GMC member FLAIM Systems, leveraging not only his scientific expertise but also his extensive experience in the emergency services sector as a long serving CFA volunteer.
He also holds the role of Honorary Associate Professor, Research and Innovation at Deakin University, and has received aa number of community and academic recognitions including the National Medal, National Emergency Medal, 25-year Medal from the Country Fire Authority, and the Vice Chancellor’s Prize from Deakin University.
