GMC Major Partner Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) has announced the appointment of Mr Donghyeon Kim as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ben Hudson.
Mr Kim brings close to 30 years of experience with Hanwha Aerospace and will lead the next phase of HDA’s growth in Australia. He will oversee operations at Geelong’s Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE), including delivery of the Huntsman and Redback programs for the Australian Defence Force.
His focus will be on strengthening operational capability and establishing a foundation for long-term growth, alongside a commitment to developing and transitioning to Australian leadership as programs mature.
“We are here to deliver these programs on schedule, build R&D capability and capacity in Australia, and make H-ACE a manufacturing and MRO&U centre that benefits local industry and the broader economy,” Mr Kim said.
