“2026 feels like the year things have genuinely shifted – not just talk, not just another tech cycle – but a real change driven by OpenClaw, agentic systems, and AI that actually does the work.”
Founder of innovative manufacturer Think Fencing, Jack Fitzgerald, shares his perspective on how the rules are changing, ahead of speaking at the GMC Technology and Innovation Summit this month.
“I don’t think people fully grasp what’s coming. This is the next industrial revolution – but instead of machines replacing labour, it’s autonomous systems multiplying output.”
Jack says the rules have changed: “The people who win from here will be the ones building, testing, and executing – not just talking about it. Makers will lead.”
“Sitting back, relying on what’s worked before, or thinking you can maintain the same output (especially working from home without adapting)… I just don’t see that holding. That model is under pressure. By the end of 2026, if you don’t have an agentic strategy – if you’re not finding ways to 10x your output – you’ll feel it. I’m not saying this to be dramatic. I’m saying it because it’s already starting. The tables have turned.”
According to Jack the agentic revolution is here. The question is – what are you doing about it?
We’re excited to hear more from Jack Fitzgerald, alongside a host of industry leaders, innovators and policy influencers, at the Technology & Innovation Summit, 29–30 April.
