GMC is proud to celebrate 2025 GLAM (Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing) participant Magdalene Porra (pictured second from right), who will represent Australia at the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) World Championships in Houston, Texas in April. Magdalene is a member of SEMATICS 102, one of only two Australian teams selected to compete among around 160 teams from more than 100 countries at this global event.
The team – students from Geelong Lutheran College, Armstrong Creek – meets regularly after school and is currently fine‑tuning their robot game, refining presentations and fundraising to support their journey.
They are seeking sponsorship from businesses keen to invest in young people pursuing future STEM careers.
