GMC member Melbourne Avalon Airport has proudly unveiled its new freight facility – a major milestone for our region’s growing logistics and manufacturing sectors.
The 6000 sqm facility will increase Avalon’s freight capacity tenfold with the ability to handle 100,000 tonnes of freight each year and providing a dedicated hub for high-value and time-critical goods such as fresh produce, seafood and pharmaceuticals.
CEO of Melbourne Avalon Airport Ari Suss said the facility positions Avalon as a critical gateway for freight, fulfilment, and export. “This investment marks the next chapter in Avalon’s evolution – from an airport to a stratgic logistics and e-commerce hub for Victoria and the nation.”
