Leading M&A expert Rohit Bassi recently spoke at the second 2024 CEO Program workshop on Lessons Learned: technical aspects of strategy and strategy implementation.
As part of a wide-ranging discussion, Mr Bassi told the CEO Program that people are a company’s most important asset. Led by servant leadership, effective organisational design, and efficient talent acquisition, they are at the core of long-term value creation.
Mr Bassi is the Founder and CEO of People Quotient, which specialises in enhancing organisational performance by partnering with CEOs on leadership development, organisational design, and talent acquisition. He also owns and produces the People Quotient Podcast, a top-ranked global management podcast featuring international CEOs and investors.

Mr Bassi has over 20 years of international experience as an investor, operator, and board advisor. This includes being a Senior Partner/Managing Director at a US-based private equity (PE) firm, overseeing significant portfolio growth and successful M&A transactions. He operates his VC platform, invests in early-stage companies, and was a founding team member of Dyve Biosciences. As an operator, he has built and managed substantial P&Ls in the US, leading to an industry-defining PE exit, and he was part of McKinsey & Company’s PE practice for many years.
