2024 GFLOI & GLAM Programs Launch

May 7, 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday night for the launch of the Geelong Future Leaders Of Industry (GFLOI) and Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing (GLAM) 2024 programs.

Over 80 attendees joined us in encouraging our young STEM leaders of the future. Guests heard from keynote speakers Amanda Maxwell,  Senior Environmental Scientist at GHD and Simon Boyd, Workshop Supervisor at Thornton Engineering.

It’s exciting to see our 2024 programs oversubscribed and the interest in STEM careers in the local area thriving.  With only 20 spots available in each Program, we received over 60 applications from years 9 – 11 students from 13 local schools. With such a strong interest in the Programs, we’re pleased to announce we will be running a second GLAM program in 2024. Details to be announced soon.

A big thank you to the following supporting companies who are assisting our program participants in various areas across the program.
