GMC Technology & Innovation Summit

Leading manufacturers are set to share insights into how to develop and commercialise new technology at the Technology and Innovation Summit.

The region’s most innovative business leaders will discuss technology and innovation opportunities and how to navigate a pathway to success.

The April 21 summit will feature an extensive line-up of speakers including:

Discussion will include: what are the key drivers of change and opportunity and how are our companies addressing major issues such as automation, developing export markets and efficient use of energy.

The one-day event hosted by the Geelong Manufacturing Council will showcase the capabilities of Geelong and the south-west region which is home to world-leading innovators.

The summit will also explore the value in working together, building bridges with researchers and others and the benefits of harmonious manufacturing ecosystems.

There will also be time to connect and network with participants and visitors.

Geelong Manufacturing Council chief executive officer Jennifer Conley says the summit will offer insight into new technologies and regional industry and research success stories in advanced manufacturing. “People will be inspired to hear and see the developments and projects that are leading the world,” Ms Conley says.“Covid-19 has underlined that Australia needs to build and maintain sovereign capacity in manufacturing.

“Building a resilient and globally competitive advanced manufacturing sector is vital to our future.”

The Technology and Innovation Summit is at GMHBA Stadium on April 21.
