The Australian Government’s flagship initiative for raising business competitiveness and productivity
The Geelong Manufacturing Council works in partnership with the Australian Government to assist with delivering services for the Entrepreneurs’ Programme. It forms part of the Australian Government Economic Action Strategy, with over 100 experienced advisers and facilitators around Australia.
The Entrepreneurs’ Programme consists of three key elements:
- Business Management
- Innovation Connections
- Accelerating Commercialisation
GMC’s five Entrepreneurs’ Programme staff include two Business Advisers, who provide independent, unbiased and confidential business and technical advice at no financial cost; and three Business Facilitators, working with large businesses that are key buyers of SME products and services. Business Facilitators provide Supply Chain Facilitation to help SMEs become more efficient suppliers to their key client(s).
The GMC Entrepreneurs’ Programme team focusses on the following key sectors:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals
- Food and Agribusiness
- Mining Equipment, Technology and Services
- Oil, Gas & Energy
Business Advisers deliver independent, professional business evaluations and now also provide up to 12 months engagement and support during the implementation phase. Businesses may be able to access funding to implement recommendations made by Business Advisers in a business evaluation.
The Entrepreneurs’ Programme also holds a number of free learning events throughout the year on key business issues, facilitated by industry experts. Refer to our Events page for upcoming learning events in the Geelong region.
